A PCR test is a nucleic acid test that’s used to tell you if you currently have COVID-19.
All travellers to China from the UK must have carried out a COVID-19 PCR test & a COVID-19 antibody test (IgM & IgG) within 48 hours of their flight and received 2 negative results prior to their departure to allow them into China. In addition, they need to be able to provide accreditation documents to the border authorities. For instance, our lab (HMR) is one of the only labs accepted by the Hong Kong port authority.
Our lab is accredited by UKAS specifically for COVID-19 testing which is the necessary entry requirement for China. UKAS is the only national accreditation body recognised by the British government.
The Certificate of Accreditation and the approval documents, as well as the clinical validation data for the test itself are provided to you with your test result certificate in the email you receive. These comply with the necessary requirements for international travel even to other strict destinations like Hong Kong, South Korea & Japan.
You will receive a Doctor-signed test result certificate delivered to you by email at 10pm on the same day.
