The UK continues to recognise vaccination programmes from the UK, EU, and USA. As of October 4, the UK recognises vaccination certificates with a full course of the Oxford/AstraZeneca, Pfizer BioNTech, Moderna or Janssen vaccines from a relevant public health body in Australia, Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Bahrain, Brunei, Canada, Dominica, Israel, Japan, Kuwait, Malaysia, New Zealand, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan or the United Arab Emirates (UAE)
Formulations of the 4 listed vaccines, such as AstraZeneca Covishield, AstraZeneca Vaxzevria and Moderna Takeda, qualify as approved vaccines.
You must have had a complete course of an approved vaccine at least 14 days before you arrive in England.
Where 2 doses of a vaccine are required for a full course, you will be able to mix 2 different types of vaccine, for example Oxford/AstraZeneca and Moderna. You are also allowed to have the 2 vaccinations under 2 different approved programmes, for example Australia and Japan, UK and USA, EU and Canada.
What does the test do and how accurate is it?
An antibody test is used to tell you if you’ve had COVID-19 in the past and developed an immune response. The test detects the presence of COVID-19 specific antibodies (IgM & IgG). It has an accuracy of 98%.
Why should I have an antibody test?
An antibody test can be used to tell you if you’ve had COVID-19 in the past and have developed longer term IgG antibodies against SARS-CoV-2.
When should I take an antibody test?
The test detects the presence of COVID-19 specific antibodies (IgM & IgG) and is best taken 14+ days after your first symptoms.
How is the test taken?
A blood sample is taken from a finger prick. The test is administered at one of our London, Watford, Manchester or Newcastle clinics by a healthcare professional.
Where can I get a test?
You can book an antibody test online for any of our clinics in London, Watford, Manchester and Newcastle. At each clinic we have healthcare professionals who administer your tests.
How quickly can I get results back?
Antibody test results are delivered by 22:00 on the same day you take your test. All test samples are analysed 7 days a week and you’ll get your results as soon as they’re released.
What format do I receive my results in and what information is shown on the certificate?
Your test results will be sent to you securely by text and email including a PDF you can download. Your certificate will show your full name, date of birth, passport number (optional), date and time of test, and issue date. It will also be signed by our Medical Director, Dr. Jeremy Harris GMC: 3076541.
What type of antibody test do you use and are your antibody tests certified?
Our COVID-19 antibody test uses globally certified AFIA diagnostic machines from a listed South Korean biotech company. Our IVD medical devices are TUV certified and CE marked.
Is an antibody test suitable for travel?
An antibody test alone is not suitable for travel to most countries, but can be taken in addition to a PCR Fit to Fly for entry into some countries such as China.
Is an antibody test safe for children?
Yes, children of any age can take an antibody test but we require children under the age of 18 to have parental consent.
