An Antigen test looks for viral surface proteins of the virus. It will confirm if you currently have the virus. It will not confirm whether you have had it and have developed an immune response - there are other tests available for that (see our antibody test). It’s a faster and cheaper alternative to a PCR test and has an accuracy of 98%.
Your test results will be sent to you securely by text and email including a PDF you can download. Your certificate will show your full name, date of birth, passport number (optional), date and time of test, and issue date. It will also be signed by our Medical Director, Dr. Jeremy Harris GMC: 3076541.
Negative: You do not have any evidence of an active COVID-19 infection.Positive: The virus that causes COVID-19 has been detected on your swab. An antigen fit to fly test does include a Fit to Fly Certificate. Antigen tests are suitable for travel to the UK, EU or USA but not all international destinations. Please note that for the antigen test to be accepted in the EU it must be on the EU’s approved list of antigen tests for entry. Our test is currently on the EU’s approved list. For other destinations that do not accept antigen tests, a PCR Fit to Fly test may be required. We recommend you check your specific destination requirements here.
You can find your destination's specific testing requirements using our destination tracker here
